QFK Delivery of Quilts on January 23, 2018

The wonderful women of Quilting for Kids gathered at the home of Carol Schmidt on Saturday, January 20, 2018 for a luncheon and to deliver and share their quilts prior to delivery to the hospital. The hospital delivery was made on January 23. 2018.
The ladies always exchange information about the quilts they lovingly create and then show off their quilts, blankets, hats and other snugglies. QFK women now create quilts, crocheted blankets, snugglebunnies, crocheted hats, IV covers and other items the kids can use to smile again.

After a very successful and entertaining luncheon on Saturday, the quilts, blankets and other assorted goodies, 260 in all, were delivered to the Jeff Gordon Children’s Hospital on Tuesday, January 23rd. The women managing the delivery, Carol Schmidt and Jayne Ortiz, were also given the privilege of personally handing their quilts to three of the kids who are being cared for at the hospital. A few smiles from the kids helps to make this wonderful work a truly worthy enterprise.
